Last week i have visited this beautiful castle. It’s located in a small city called Chantilly. Next to the castle you can find beautiful gardens, which were designed by the same architect as the gardens in Versailles, and a historic stable for horses along a racetrack.

Minulý týždeň som navštívil tento krásny zámok. Zámok sa nachádza v malom mestečku Chantilly. Vedľa zámku sa okrem záhrad, ktoré navrhoval rovnaký architekt ako záhrady vo Versailles, nachádza aj historická stajňa pre kone spolu s dostihovou dráhou.

Somme tvorí časť regiónu Picardie. Práve túto časť zasiahla prvá svetová vojna najtragickejšie z celého Francúzska. V tejto časti sa tým pádom nachádza veľké množstvo pomníkov ako spomienka na toto tragické obdobie. Každoročne prichádzajú na tieto miesta rodiny vojakov z celého sveta, aby si uctili ich pamiatku.
Pri návšteve týchto miest si človek uvedomí, aké veľké množstvo vojakov zahynulo.

As every year Adobe has announced new generation of their software family, during the Adobe MAX conference which took place at the beginning of this week.
So what can we expect??
Adobe announced that the new generation will be available only as a month subscription, which means that you can no longer buy box version of their suite. All products will be available through creative cloud. New generation is called Creative Cloud or CC instead CS 7 as was expected.
Photoshop CC
Very interesting feature in this new version will be Camera raw filer. Basically we can say it’s not new, but it is so much easier to adjust small details without closing and opening the photo again and again. Next very handy feature is the new shake reduction filter which enables the possibility to save blurred images. I’m really looking forward to try this one.
Illustrator CC
The latest version of Illustrator will have very handy type tool, thanks to which we can adjust different parameters of every single letter. Another feature is the brush tool. In this version it will be easier to create new brushes from raster images and adjust the parameters, like which part should be stretched.
After Effects CC
Adobe has announced alliance with Maxon before MAX conference. And what this means? Now we will be able to edit Cinema 4D cine directly inside AE. You don’t have to render and then import and re-render. Everything could be done inside AE thanks to new plugin called Cineware. And that’s not all. In this version of AE the Lite version of cinema 4D will be included. Now you can create simple scenes, animation in 3D environment! Also camera shake reduction filter was improved among other.
Yet this year’s MAX was different. Adobe announced their first hardware. It is a stylus (pen) for tablets like iPad or Note. But it brings you the convenience of graphic tablet. It has different levels of pressure, sensitivity and so on. This new hardware is called project Mighty. Connection between the pen and the tablet is through Bluetooth. The pen is directly connected to your cloud account. Thanks to this you have all your files, presets and so on under your finger. We don’t know the final price, but I must say it looks very interesting and I want to try it.
Other new features includes the new desktop version of creative cloud connection app which now synchronizes also your brushes, pallets, presets, environments between your computers. Another new feature is the Typekit for desktop, now you will have all the fonts from Typekit on your computer.
This new generation will be released on 17th June 2013

Začiatkom tohto týždňa (6 – 7.5 2013) sa uskutočnila konferencia Adobe MAX, na ktorej každoročne Adobe predstaví svoje najnovšie produkty. A tak ako každý rok to spravili vo veľkom štýle.
A čo nám teda priniesla táto konferencia?
V prvom rade Adobe oznámilo, že nová rada ich produktov nebude niesť označenie Creative Suite 7,ale Creative Cloud. Zároveň oznámili, že už nebude viac možné zakúpiť krabicovú verziu ich produktov. Všetky produkty budú dostupné len cez Creative Cloud.
Photoshop CC
Medzi najzaujímavejšie novinky v tejto verzii patrí jednoznačne filter Camera raw, ktorý umožňuje upravovať fotografiu v tomto režime aj po otvorení vo Photoshope. Zaujímavý je aj filter umožňujúci zaostrenie rozmazanej fotografie, či nové nástroje na úpravu perspektívy.
Illustrator CC
V tejto verzii sa dočkáme jednoduchšieho vytvárania štetcov z rastrových obrázkov, vylepšených nástrojov na úpravu písma a mnohých ďalších vylepšení.
After Effects CC
Ešte pred začiatkom konferencie oznámilo Adobe a Maxon vytvorenie aliancie. Výsledkom tejto aliancie je, že v novej verzii AE budeme mať k dispozícii plugin Cineware, ktorý umožňuje import celej scény zo Cinemy do AE bez nutnosti renderovania. Všetky finálne úpravy je možné spraviť priamo v AE. Zároveň bude k tejto verzii AE „pribalená“ zjednoduchšená verzia programu Cinema 4D Litle – tá umožňuje vytvorenie jednoduchých animácií, tvorbu materiálov a podobne. Okrem toho sa v AE dočkáme vylepšeného stabilizačného filtra.
Adobe tento rok na konferencii predstavilo svoj prvý hardware. Jedná sa o pero pre tablety a nesie označenie project Mighty. Prepojenie s tabletom je riešené pomocou pripojenia Bluetooth. Pero je zároveň napojené priamo na Creative cloud, čo umožňuje prístup k dokumentom, nástrojom ako Adobe Kuler a podobne. Finálna cena ešte nebola stanovená. no jedná sa jednoznačne a zaujímavý produkt.
V novej verzii CC sa dočkáme aj vylepšenej desktopovej verzie prepojenia s cloudom či desktopovej verzie Typkitu. Som veľmi zvedavý na synchronizáciu nastavení, štetcov či paliet v rámci cloudu a medzi počítačmi.

During my semester in France I have visited small village called Rambures. In this small village you can find beautiful castle with a garden. This castle was several times rebuild in the past. Today it serves as a touristic attraction. I recommend to visit this beautiful castle.

Pri potulkách Francúzskom som zavítal do malej dedinky menom Rambures, kde sa nachádza krásny zámok s parkom. V minulosti bol niekoľkokrát prestavaný a dnes slúži pre verejnosť ako turistické miesto. Jednoznačne odporúčam jeho návštevu.

I called today’s work Phantom, because my goal was to create an animation of a plane with a futuristic hybrid engine and camouflage. It is a simple animation. The model of a plane was created in Cinema 4D which and then imported into After effects (Element 3D). Texturing and animation was done inside After Effects.
I learned an important lesson during this mini project. It is important to align all normals, so it is easier not just for the animation, deformation of the 3D object, but it is crucial for exporting and then importing the 3D model. An optimalised and prepared model is easier to import and therefore work with it.

Dnešná práca má názov Phantom z toho dôvodu, že som sa snažil spraviť animáciu lietadla, ktoré využíva nový, hybridný pohon. Jedná sa o jednoduchú animáciu. Model lietadla bol vytvorený v programe Cinema 4D a vyexportovaný. Následne som ho pomocou pluginu Element 3D importoval do After effects, otexturoval, nachystal pohorie a celkovú animáciu.
Pri tomto konkrétnom mini projekte som sa naučil jednu dôležitú vec a to, že vždy treba zarovnať normály na 3D modele. Nielen z dôvodu animácie, ale hlavne kvôli exportu a následne importu 3D modelu z jedného projektu do druhého. Správne nachystaný model nieje problém importovať a ďalej s ním pracovať.
